Jeremy Ramsey: I was very intrigued by Siem Reap because over the years, I’ve seen so many pictures of Siem Reap, of Angkor Wat, and I thought, what is this place really like? I painted from the Angkor Wat East Gate because I like the peace and quiet here which is important to me when I paint. I wanted to have “Angkor” in the name so I called it “Evening in Angkor”.
